June 16th - June 22nd - practicebicycle.com - Tour de Suisse

practicebicycle.com is offering a wonderful week of cycling in two countries with spectacular riding in both France and Switzerland. You will see some of the best professional bike riders in the world in their final preparation race for this year's Tour de France, with "practicebicycle.com - Tour de Suisse".

The fourth major bike race in the Pro Tour behind the Grand Tours of France, Italy and Spain, the Tour de Suisse is held every year in June. This year will be the 72nd edition of this National Tour.

In 2007 a hard fought event, under difficult conditions was eventually won by the gentle giant from Russia, Vladimar Karpets. In the past many of the great names of cycling have won this prestigious event including Jan Ullrich, Alex Zulle, Lance Armstrong, Phil Anderson and Sean Kelly.

This wonderful week of cycling begins with great riding around Lake Annecy and the surrounding countryside. We then travel over the border into Switzerland to be a part of the action whilst we ride and view stage's of the Tour de Suisse and admire the breathtaking scenery and enjoy the atmosphere that Switzerland is famous for.

Brief Trip Itinerary:

Mon June 16th - Arrive in Annecy & Welcome drinks.

Tue June 17th - Ride around spectacular Lac Annecy

Wed June 18th - Ride in the French Alps.

Thu June 19th - Transfer into Swiss and ride/relax & view TdS Stage 6 - Caslano - Verbier.

Fri June 20th - Ride/relax & view TdS Stage 7 - Gruyeres - Lyss.

Sat June 21st - Ride/relax & view TdS Stage 8 - Altdorf - Klausenpass.

Sun June 22nd - Depart from Geneva, Switzerland.

Trip Includes:

3 nights French elegant accommodation & Continental breakfast.
