 The legends of the Criterium du Dauphine Libere.

 

 

This major French Pro Tour race has become one of the two lead up events prior to the Tour de France.  It brings the final opportunity along with the following weeks Tour de Suisse for the top riders to test themselves for July.

 

 

 

The 2008 route takes the peloton from Avignon to Grenoble, with the latter stages taking the riders over the punishing climbs and magnificient scenery of the French Alps.  Your Hotel in Annecy is your base for the week giving you the ideal opportunity to get up close and personal from the road side and view all the excitement of July without the large numbers of spectators that we expect from Le Tour!

 

The course route takes in the magnificient French Alps.

 

 

 

 

 

 

With retired French cycling star Charly Mottet the race director and winner in 1987, a superb route with exciting racing is expected. Cadel Evans will be competeing against last years TdF winner Contador and Leipheimer in probably the only occasion in 2008 as these riders will not be on the start line in July for the Tour de France.  This will make the victory of this fantastic spectacle even more prestigous in 2008.

Tue June 10th - Ride around spectacular Lac Annecy.

 

Wed June 11th - Ride in the French Alps.

 

Thu June 12th - Ride/relax and view CDL Stage 4 - Vienne - Annemasse.

 

Fri June 13th - Ride/relax and view CDL Stage 5 - Annemasse - Morzine.

 

Sat June 14th - Ride/relax and view CDL Stage 6 - Morzine - La Toussuire.

 

 

Sun June 15th - Depart from Annecy.
